Well, I promised you pictures. Since I don’t have a photo camera right now, here is a picture of the Leeds Met campus webcam with me sitting on the first bench (with a little bit of fantasy you could even recognize me ;-) )

Soon a real camera will be mine!

Bremen

relaxing in Bremen

.
Hello everybody, welcome to my blog. I will write here about my semester abroad in Leeds, United Kingdom. To whoever who wonders where this is, Leeds is in northern England near Manchester and Liverpool. It is said that it is one of the nicest student cities of the country.

Well right now I’m still in Germany preparing everything. Searching rooms in shared houses in Leeds using the Internet, and looking for a place to stay while I am searching. I found a nice guy at the couchsurfing website, who will probably host me for some nights. I love this couchsurfing concept!

Currently I’m staying at the place of Melanie and Dan in Bremen, northern Germany. My flight to Manchester starts here on Tuesday and I used the opportunity to visit them. They introduced me to the nightlife of the city, which is a great one. They a living in the best quarter of the town, called “das Viertel”. It is full with pubs, clubs and international fast food restaurants, and a lot of people are hanging around here at night, but also by day. Dan (who I know from my time in Switzerland, he lived in my room there before me and moved to Bremen) and Melanie left because they are doing a trip through Europe with some relatives of Melanie from Mexico. Anyway they let me stay in their flat, which is very nice!

Allright, enough said for now. Come back to this site so I can keep you up to date ;-)
